Worldwide Fluorescent Specimens (UV)

These fluorescent mineral specimens from around the world include both small cabinet-sized pieces and large, museum-quality examples. Notable Canadian minerals include Scapolite “Wernerite,” Chondrodite, Diopside, and Eudialite, often found with Calcite, Aragonite, or Tremolite, producing striking multicolor displays. U.S. specimens include Arizona’s Purple Passion Mine, which yields combinations of Calcite, Willemite, Fluorite, and Aragonite, as well as rare Benitoite from California, Hackmanite from Ontario, and colorful geodes from Utah and Wyoming. These minerals are prized for their vibrant fluorescence under shortwave and longwave UV light, which highlights their unique colors and forms. Collections range from smaller, self-contained cabinet specimens to massive, visually impressive pieces, offering a diverse and globally representative showcase of fluorescent minerals.
